Concours d'Élégance
A classic-car exhibition with judging and awards, where the condition, originality and restoration quality of the cars are decisive.
A Concours d'Élégance is a classic-car exhibition with judging and prizes. What counts is the condition, originality and restoration quality of the cars on show – not performance or speed. Depending on the event, judging is done by an expert jury or by the public. The French term has described the beauty-and-style competition of elegant automobiles since the lavish motoring shows of the 1920s and 1930s.
