Bordbuch
German term for the route book of a rally: the description of the route with driving instructions and distances, usually with maps and commentary. Used synonymously with roadbook.
Bordbuch is the German word for the route book of a rally. It is the description of the route to be driven, with driving instructions and distances, and usually also overview maps, commentary (for example on sights along the way) and information on the participating crews and their vehicles. The co-driver works through the Bordbuch page by page and gives the driver the direction. In German classic motorsport, Bordbuch and roadbook are used synonymously; the individual junctions are often shown as a tulip diagram. It should not be confused with the Bordkarte (control card), which is used for scoring.

Pace notes
In stage (best-time) rallies, the crew's self-made notes on the route, gathered while slowly pre-driving a special stage. The co-driver reads them out during the stage – jokingly called the 'prayer book'.
