Roadbook
The spiral-bound route description of a rally, made of schematic symbols instead of a map.
The roadbook is the central route description of every regularity rally. Instead of a conventional map it contains a sequence of schematic symbols that guide the crew junction by junction. The co-driver, the navigator, reads it during the drive and directs the driver through the stage. The roadbook is usually read with a roadbook roller that advances the paper scroll in a controlled way.
