FIVA ID-Card
An internationally standardised FIVA document for historic vehicles over 30 years old. It records a vehicle's identity, technical data and history, is issued after a physical inspection, and serves identification purposes only.
The FIVA ID-Card (officially the FIVA Identity Card) is an internationally standardised document issued in the name of FIVA for historic vehicles. It summarises a vehicle's identity, technical specifications and known history, including later modifications, as recorded at the time of issue. It is issued only for vehicles that are at least 30 years old, largely original and in a historically correct condition and not used for daily transport – and only after a physical inspection by a scrutineer confirming compliance with the FIVA Technical Code. Applications go through the National FIVA Authority (ANF) of the country where the vehicle is registered. The card remains the property of FIVA, is valid for a maximum of ten years and lapses on a change of ownership. It is for identification purposes only, is not a guarantee of authenticity and may not be used commercially. Many FIVA events – such as the Mille Miglia or the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este – require it for entry. Vehicles between 20 and 29 years old instead receive the FIVA Youngtimer Registration Document.
