Prvenstvo HROS-a: all rounds of Croatia's classic car championship

National championship of the Croatian Oldtimer Association (HROS)

The Prvenstvo HROS-a is the national championship of the Croatian Oldtimer Association (Hrvatski oldtimer savez, HROS) for competitive meetings of historic vehicles. Member clubs of the association run the rounds; the car classification visits four venues: Oldtimer Auto Rally Rijeka, Rally Dalmacija from Split, Liburnia Classic Club Oldtimer Rally in Opatija and the Croatia Classic Marathon in Sveta Nedelja.

It is not about speed but precision: accuracy tests (“ispit točnosti”) require crews to hit set times exactly, complemented by skill tests and slalom sections. The average speed on road sections is capped at 45 km/h and speed tests are not permitted. Eligible are vehicles aged 30 years or more, grouped into the FIVA build-year periods D to H plus a class T for off-road vehicles.

Each round awards placing points (25, 20, 16, 13, 11 …) scored by class; with four rounds, a driver who starts everywhere drops the worst result. Alongside the drivers’ classification HROS keeps a club classification. Driver licences are applied for through the member club, and final results are published by the association on hros.hr.
