Schinderhannes-Classic

The Schinderhannes-Classic is a rally for classic cars and youngtimers with a long tradition in the Hunsrück, organised by HAC Simmern. Since its premiere in 2011, around 75–80 crews have taken part every year, driving through the most beautiful landscapes between the Rhine, Moselle and Nahe – a real highlight in the Rhineland-Palatinate classic car calendar. The start is on the historic Schlossplatz in Simmern, from where the crews set off in two classes – sporting and touring – on a varied route through the Soonwald and across the Hunsrück hills. Regularity and target-time tests provide typical rally excitement. The legendary Schinderhannes buffet and the evening prize-giving round off the day. The Schinderhannes-Classic combines sporting challenge, conviviality and the unique atmosphere of the Hunsrück to create an unforgettable rally experience.
