The Bockhorner Oldtimer- und Teilemarkt – "Der Markt im Norden" (the market in the north) – has been one of the absolute highlights of the classic car scene for more than 40 years, attracting thousands of lovers of historic vehicles from Germany and abroad every year. Across more than 200,000 m², over 6,000 classic cars and youngtimers are on show – from elegant pre-war cars to rugged motorcycles. The large parts market with around 1,000 stands offers spare parts, accessories, literature and rarities. There is also a vehicle marketplace with around 200 cars for sale and the popular boot sale on Sunday. The sporting highlight is the Friesland-Rallye for vehicles built up to 1980. More than 20,000 international visitors make the Bockhorn market the meeting place of the European classic car scene every year.
