Chelmsford Motor Club (CMC) is one of the most active motor clubs in East Anglia, with more than 400 members. The programme is impressively varied: stage rallies, targa rallies, navigation events, autotests, car trials and the annual 12-Car Winter Series. The highlight of the season is the two-day East Anglian Classic – a popular historic rally whose appeal reaches well beyond the region. The programme is complemented by The Preston, a long-established night navigation rally. CMC is affiliated to Motorsport UK and several regional associations and was named Motor Club of the Year in 2009. An active marshalling team and monthly club nights in Little Waltham make CMC a true motorsport community in Essex. Motorsport for everyone – that is Chelmsford Motor Club.
